An Interview with Neshade Abraham, Sr. Director of Legal Operations, Pax8

We talked to Neshade Abraham, Sr. Director of Legal Operations, Pax8, about the ways that Priori has helped him fill gaps and think strategically about legal resourcing throughout his career. Why have you brought Priori along throughout your career? 

Neshade Abraham: I started using Priori during my time as a senior manager of legal operations at a large technology company, where I managed their legal billing team and their preferred partner program with outside counsel. I’ve brought Priori to all of my roles because, of all of the alternative providers I’ve used, Priori is the easiest to work with. You always understand the ask and you’re very transparent in the offering compared to others I’ve worked with.

How have you used Priori over the years? 

Neshade Abraham: Initially, I used Priori as one of the preferred providers that received RFP requests from our team for staffing projects on discrete matters. When I moved to a new role, I started using Priori as my primary resource for temporary flexible talent for a lot of our commercial work as well as any discrete projects that popped up. Priori is the easiest and the quickest way for me to find good talent.

Where do you see value in the Priori platform?

Neshade Abraham: Priori proved its value to me because of the results. When I’m looking for a specific role, Priori is spot on with the candidates provided. It’s clear that Priori understands the assignment very easily. I don’t have to get on a pre-call to answer additional questions after my initial ask. I don’t have to get on a debriefing call to get asked by candidates why they weren’t chosen. There is less administrative burden with Priori, which allows you to move quickly. 

Why would you recommend Priori to other legal teams? 

Neshade Abraham: I would recommend Priori to other legal teams because I find the talent pool is spot on, especially with niche roles that I’ve been trying to staff, including legal operations roles which are very unique and scarce. Of all the providers I’ve worked with, Priori is able the find the right candidates at a higher success rate than others. 

How does flexible talent fit into your resourcing strategy? 

Neshade Abraham: Flexible talent gives me the ability to staff projects with the right talent without having to go through the extensive internal hiring and onboarding process. It accommodates the ebbs and flows of work. We’re able to get strategic projects off the ground much quicker and also staff up if we need to based on demand. It gives us flexibility. 

How do you view Priori as a strategic partner?

Neshade Abraham: The experience I’ve had with Priori is that it’s a partnership. It’s not just providing a service. For example, I just got off of a call with your VP of Client Strategy and was picking his brain on a particular issue and how I could solve it, and he gave me some insights on the industry from his perspective. 

Being able to trust your partner and get reliable feedback is hard to come by. It gives me access to perspectives on the industry that I don’t normally have access to. It’s that partnership and the feedback that provides a lot of value.
